Upload #748 ~ HQ from UK 45 pictured ~~ Unexpected Cool Psych Pop Easy Dreamy track with odd rising-falling notes & hypnotic female la-la's. The toys for 1965 still seem very 1930s-1950s. Nothing to do with the R&B guy, this white Ray Charles had been using the name since 1944 & Wikipedia tells both met. Mostly seen credited on Perry Como records as the backing vocals of which the group are in perfect time. A side is "This Is My Prayer" an English version of the 1964 Eurovision song with massed choir voices that is very square. Whoever bought this copy in 1965 never played the cool B side. A nice place to be, play it on repeat 6 times & feel very mellow....
