This is a broadcast performance by Benny Goodman and His Orchestra emanating from the Hollywood Palladium in the Spring of 1943. Benny and the band were in the Hollywood studios of 20th Century-Fox for the production of the film "The Gang's All Here". This swinging version offers a rare bass saxophone solo by Joe Rushton who was seldom heard with BG outside of the orchestral ensembles. Jess Stacy has the piano solo and the trombone solo may be Miff Mole who was with the band at this time. Last but not least is an 18 year old prodigy named Louis Bellson at the drums. Enjoy!
