Vök was formed in February 2013 by Andri Már Enoksson and Margrét Rán Magnúsdóttir to take part in the Icelandic Music Experiments, which they won. Their debut EP 'Tension' released August 2013 on Record Records. Ólafur Alexander joined them shortly afterwards and a second EP followed. A fourth member, Einar Hrafn Stefánsson, was recruited before the release of their debut album in 2017.
