Adamo


Belgian singer (born November 01, 1943 in Comiso, Sicily, Italy).

He is part of a family with eight children. His parents emigrated from Italy to Belgium, in Jemmapes.
At the age of eleven, Salvatore sings in the choir of the parish and writes songs.
Gifted for studies and guitar, he avoids the mines.
1960: In October, in Mons, Monsavon-Dop organizes a casting where he interprets one of his titles.
In November, Adamo carries off final in the cinema Metropolis in Saint-Ouen.
Charles Aznavour delays him a 50.000 FB check.
1961: The producer Lammy Vandenhout hears the band of the casting and gives him his chance. Adamo starts at Philips.

Owned the former [l=Fonior] studio (now named [l=Jet Studio]) from 1981 to 1986.
