9/13/04-Yesterday was an awesome day. We played a show with all of our best friends there. No not just a select few of you, ALL of you that went are amazing friends to us! We also made some new friends which is always awesome. Then to top it off, we were played on channel 93.3 KTCL, that was so awesome. It was cool was we were all together when we heard it, it was kind of like that movie "that thing you do". Haha, anyways, yesterday was awesome. Thank you to everyone that was a part of it. You can check out some pictures of the show yesterday in the news section of this website.

It was in their blood when they were born. Just seven years later, the stars in their eyes were fueling their desire to make music. Bryce was seven years old, his cousin Paul was ten. Picking up the instruments that Bryce's father had left behind from his cover band days, they started their no name band. With Bryce on guitar and Paul on drums they created a sound that only their parents could appreciate. In no time at all they became self taught on their instruments and had written a few songs. Performing at half time of football parties, their family and friends watched in amazement at their quick progress. There was something real here however a duo wasn't enough. As a little league teammate and friend of Bryce, Randy Troup was always around the band but they didn't need a trumpet player. Randy picked up one of Bryce's guitars one day and seemed to have some natural talent. Bryce and Paul decided to give him a try on bass and within months the duo had become a band. Performing their favorite cover tunes along with their own originals, the band Dislocated Thumb rocked their first crowd at the middle school talent show into a screaming frenzy. The gig's to come in the next two years were all met with more overwhelming response. As individual talent and song writing improved, it was time to add a second guitar to fill the sound and dump that goofy name. Saving Verona was born! Tim Herrera took the second guitar spot for the first year eventually moving on to other bands. You can find the current lineup of Bryce Hoops on guitar and lead vocals, Paul Harris on drums, Randy Troup on bass, and Tommy Zito on guitar and backup vocals rocking any stage from college frat house basements to Denver's Ogden Theater. Their show is as tight as their studio recorded CD.
Saving Verona.........Coming to a stage near you!
