Peter Klint

Peter Klint, born 1971 in Westerland/Isle of Sylt, started painting intensively in the late eighties. During the nineties he travelled around Germany and Poland, stayed in many places and never really settled down. Besides doing art, he had to stay alive somehow and did an endless list of McJobs. In the end of 1999 he moved to Hamburg, where he attended the "Bildkunst Academy" for one year.
In January 2001 he started working on a project called "Portraitfirma". Within this project he painted about 60 portraits. In October 2001 his portrait of Thomas Bernhard was used for the cover of "The Times Literary Supplement", London. In October 2002 he joined the Stuckist movement. In June 2004 Klint moved back to the Island of Sylt, where he currently lives and works.
