Karan Reshad , born in 1982 –Tehran / Iran.
1998-2001 I was employed as Cover Designer in Gozaresh Film(Film Report) Magazine ( one of the two important and credible Cinematic Journals during 60s and 70s in Iran
1999 Entering the Azad University of Art and Architecture
( My branch of study was Industrial Design / Product Design)
2003 Temporary dismissal From The university .(-Arguing with the president about Islamic limitations )
2004 The establishment of ‘kolahstudio’ (An Art and Research Community)
which includes young and pioneering Iranian artists and Researching translators )
2004 Permanent Dismissal from the University .( Arguing with the president)
2005 Establishment of My personal painting Studio .

My ideal painters are Van Gough , Rivera, Ensor , Bacon . I have been painting , using various styles and materials such as tiny litter , sprays , industrial colors along with oil color and branded acrylic paints since 2 years ago . I have found these experiences very enjoyable . I like to paint ,
using different colors and on different surfaces such as cardboard , cloth( textile) ,
wood and smooth metal surfaces which are found among litter and rubbish .

Since I am very interested in graffiti and because of its prohibition and restrictions
in Islamic Republic of Iran , I am personally painting graffiti in my neighborhood
and I got a positive response from the inhabitants.
