Intill Musique [France]

En concert le samedi 15 janvier 2005, a 20h, a Paris 18e : Café Montmartre, 7 rue de Steinkerque, metro Anvers.

In the beginning, there were Aurel and Cyril, two high-school mates from the southern suburbs of Paris, who shared the same musical influences, from grunge to funky prog rock.
Both of them played guitar, and they began jamming together, along with other friends from the neighborhood.
Then grew the idea to create a band, in which Aurel would play guitar and Cyril the bass. They found a (poor) drummer, A., via the classifieds and wrote ads to look for a singer.
Thor came by in October ’01, and the juice rushed instantly.
INTILL had a voice now.
A. was kicked out and Cyril sat behind the drums, because the others knew he was at least as much gifted with sticks in his hands it as with any other instrument, and that meant INTILL would have a hell of a drum line.

Yann arrived, with his bass on his back and his legendary sense of humor, in March ’02, and everybody knew the missing link was not missing anymore.
Inspiration came along with friendship : pretty quick.

After a couple of gigs, INTILL asserted its peculiar sound and energy, especially on the stage.

In the end of ’03, after a long search, INTILL welcomed a second guitar player, Stephane, who immediately dove into the essence of the songs and enriched them incredibly with new, deep colors.

INTILL was grown up.

The various influences inside the band, which are mostly rock and (neo-)metal, but also pop/rock, new-wave, funk, stoner-rock, emo, led INTILL to some fusion of rock, metal, and prog rock.
You can call the mixture « Energy Rock » or « Cyclothymic fusion »...
