Wiseguy
Music [Netherlands] |
It's been a little while since my last confession. I fucked some sheep and had sex with my girlfriends mom. And i have to tell you all.. it's great to be back again. Damn! Sitting at Joe's place drinkin' beer & wine. Making plans how to spend the upcoming month. What to do on New years eve and what to do with Christmas. No fuckin' clue! I know one thing... Roscoe and his girlfriend are gonna have a baby. And were gonna play some more new shows and get so drunk. Dude you cant imagine! There are gonna be some more pics up soon and we have some new T-shirts and Hoodeds.
Lets have a little contest....
What should be the nickname of Roscoe's & Perla's baby. We need boy AND girlie names. So lets hear it and tells us what YOU think.
Wiseguy originated back in 1995 as a three-piece. After a few line up changes they became the hard rockin’ 4 piece they are now. In 2001 they released their first 7” EP “Pull The Cup” on Stardumb Records.
Since the band and the label are both from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, things worked out smooth and easy. Wiseguy bassplayer and frontman Joe Caine called around and he got Wiseguy on stage with bands like Peter Pan Speedrock, Turbo AC’s, The Dickies, American Heartbreak, Duane Peters & The Hunns and Cellophane Suckers. People who attended the shows will all agree: Wiseguy rocks like a motherfucker!
2002 was a busy year for WISEGUY playing many shows, kicking many bands off the stage and leaving crowds stunned and bewildered all over the Netherlands and Belgium. Luckily they also found some time to record “Burning The Tracks”. 11 kick-ass tunes, recorded in Belgium, mixed in Rotterdam.
This is how you should rock! Take some AC/DC riffs, grab some sleaziness from the Hellacopters and Gluecifer and fix it up with some Turbonegro energy. One high-octane rock ’n roll shake for you to enjoy!
All Aboard!
- Wiseguy did tour Europe in January/February 2003
- Joe Caine is a rock monster extravaganza
- They’ve been an active DIY band for over 8 years now
- Skokie from Travoltas plays piano and organ on some of the songs of this album!
- If you don’t like Wiseguy, you don’t like to rock!
